Video-on-Demand (VoD) reach in Europe in January and June 2020, by VoD type

According to a survey run in the first half of 2020 in Europe, AVoD (Advertising-based video on demand) showed the highest growth in terms of viewership reach between January and June. Starting the year with a 27 percent streamer viewership this had more than doubled by June, a significantly larger increase compared to other VoD formats. Broadcaster and subscription VoD formats had also demonstrated growth while transactional video on demand (TVoD) viewership remained unchanged.
