Value of start-up funding in West Africa 2010-2019, by start-up accelerator
In 2019, an amount of 88 million U.S. dollars was raised by startup companies in West Africa through the accelerator Y Combinator, and this was the highest funding received by start-ups in this region. Following this was Techstars, through which 60.5 million U.S. dollars was raised for West African start-ups. As of the same date, the Village Capital accelerator program raised the lowest amount (1.1 million U.S. dollars).
