Costa Rica: share of children & teenagers playing games online 2019, by area

According to a 2018/2019 study, about 63 percent of children and teenage students in urban areas of Costa Rica stated playing video games with others online, while nearly 55 percent said to go online to play alone. Moreover, among those surveyed in rural areas, almost 46 percent used the internet to play video games with others. The survey results also showed that nearly 14 percent of responding children and teens in Costa Rica had never received adult supervision while using the internet.
