Annual budget of Prefectural Police in Japan FY 2020, by segment
In the fiscal year 2020, personnel expenses accounted for the highest share in the total budget of the Prefectural Police (PP) in all 47 Japanese prefectures, with approximately 2.7 trillion Japanese yen. Facility expenses only amounted to around 275.2 billion Japanese yen of the total budget. The prefectural government covers the expenses for their own PP, but can be supported by subsidies from the national government.
