Fresh fish shopping at supermarket among Italians 2020, by macro-region
The purchase of fresh fish at the supermarket was a popular shopping habit among Italians, a survey from September 2020 revealed. However, data showed regional differences. 83 percent of consumers living in the Islands (Sicily, Sardinia) used to purchase fresh fish, while only 70 percent of consumers living in the other southern regions reported to do the same.
