Ratio of women to agricultural cooperative directors in Japan FY 2000-2020
In 2020, the share of female agricultural cooperative directors in Japan amounted to 91 percent. The increase of female committee members since 2015 was boosted by the 4th Basic Plan for Gender Equality. The act was implemented to empower women and promote gender equality in rural and regional environments.
