As of April 1, 2021, the total length of roads inside Tokyo metropolis amounted to 24.73 thousand kilometers approximately. Throughout the last ten years, the road length had been steadily increasing from around 24.4 thousand kilometers in 2012.
Most of these roads were standard-improved and paved with high-class asphalt.
