
Access to drinking water in Tanzanian schools 2018
Around 68 percent of schools in Tanzania had access to an improved sources of drinking water in 2018. In other words, nearly seven out of ten 10 schools provided the students with water coming from pipes, boreholes or tube wells, protected dug wells, protected springs, as well as rain water. On the other hand, 17.6 percent of schools used unimproved sources of water, while 14.2 percent did not have any access to drinking water at all.
