The 2020 Sapporo Snow Festival, held in Hokkaido, Japan, was attended by roughly 2.02 million visitors. This was the lowest attendance for over a decade, declining by more than 700 thousand visitors compared to the previous year. The Sapporo Snow Festival, held annually during the first two weeks of February, had a 70 year long history as of 2020.
