Year-on-year changes in loans to households and businesses in Italy 2020
Compared to the same months of 2019, loans to households in Italy were 1.2 percent lower in February 2020. However, since March 2020 they bounced back and peaked with a 6.1 percent increase in August. On the other hand, business loans followed a much steadier process. The largest year-on-year change in corporate loans took place in February 2020 with 2.5 percent increase. However, In April 2020 they where only 1.3 percent higher than in April 2019.
