
Domestic supply of renewable energy in Japan FY 2012-2021
In the fiscal year 2021, the domestic supply of renewable energy in Japan reached around 1.3 thousand petajoules. The domestic renewable energy supply more than doubled compared to around 455 petajoules in fiscal 2012. Japan's current energy policy aims to diversify its energy mix and increase the share of renewable energy up to around 24 percent by 2030.
