Poland: Quarterly change in the House Price Index 2022

In the observed period, the highest quarterly increase in residential property prices on Poland's primary market was recorded in the 4th quarter of 2021, where apartment prices increased by 4.2 percent quarter-on-quarter. The highest growth in the secondary market was recorded in the 1st quarter of 2020 by 5.1 percent quarter-on-quarter. In the fourth quarter of 2022, the prices of residential properties increased by 1.4 percent compared to the previous quarter.

The house price index captures price changes of all residential properties purchased by households (flats, detached houses, terraced houses, etc.), both new and existing, independently of their final use and their previous owners. Only market prices are considered, self-build dwellings are therefore excluded. The land component is included. The data are expressed as quarterly index (2015=100), annual rate of change and quarterly rate of change.
