Monthly average prices for tahini in Egypt 2019-2023
As of May 2023, the monthly average price for tahini in Egypt amounted to 47.86 Egyptian pounds (3.22 U.S. dollars) per kilogram, which represented an increase of nearly 15.5 percent from the preceding month. During the period under review, the mean price of tahini, a creamy paste made from sesame seeds, ranged between 46.4 Egyptian pounds (1.5 U.S. dollars) and 99.42 Egyptian pounds (3.22 U.S. dollars) per kilogram.
