Preferred regions to outsource to for freelance developers 2020, by job level
In 2020, U.S. tech startups primarily prefer to outsource to the United States and Canada for freelance developers of all different levels, with Eastern Europe coming in a close second. The range of percentages of respondents for the United States and Canada was between 24 and 26 percent for the various levels of expertise. Where the answers for Eastern Europe showed a greater variation that ranged between 20 and 25 percent of respondents. Interestingly enough, the Balkans and Western Europe & Nordic were the least preferred regions to outsource to.
