Most common smartphone payment method in Japan 2021

According to a survey conducted in January 2021, approximately 33 percent of respondents in Japan used the smartphone service "Rakuten Edy" most often as a mobile contactless payment method. The second most used service was "iD" with around 21 percent of respondents using it.
