Production of cereals in Tunisia 2016-2021, by type
In 2021, the production of durum wheat in Tunisia was forecast at 1.1 million metric tons. Barley followed at 535 thousand metric tons. From 2016 onwards, the total cereal production in Tunisia augmented considerably, with durum wheat always representing the largest portion of cereal outputs. Moreover, soft wheat crops were forecast to increase substantially in 2021.
