Colombia: monthly number of e-commerce transactions per minute 2019-2020
In July 2020, an average of 479 e-commerce transactions per minute were made in Colombia, an increase of more than 100 percent compared to the average number of purchases and payments made online in the same month a year earlier. In March, the COVID-19 outbreak in the South American country led many Colombians to make different types of transactions online instead of in person, resulting in an increase of about 71 percent in the payment of services over the internet.
