Egypt: monthly retail prices for cement 2019-2020

As of August 2020, the monthly average retail price for Portland cement in Egypt was 45.14 Egyptian pounds (2.87 U.S. dollars) per sack. White cement cost 120.9 Egyptian pounds (7.69 U.S. dollars) per sack, while iron cement was valued at 55.04 Egyptian pounds (3.50 U.S. dollars) per sack. During the period under review, iron cement was the most stable in terms of price change, with the average merely increasing in August 2020 by roughly 1.9 percent. Regarding white cement, the mean price followed an overall upgoing trend, with a comprehensive increase of roughly 14.1 percent. On the other hand, the average price of Portland cement overall dropped from January 2019 to August 2020.
