Value of retail sales of alcoholic beverages and tobacco in Poland 2010-2022

Over the period observed, the value of alcoholic beverages and tobacco sold in retail outlets in Poland increased, reaching approximately over 81 billion zloty in 2022. This represents an increase of more than seven percent compared to the previous year.  

Spirits market in Poland

      The Polish spirits market had a 2.48 billion U.S. dollars revenue in 2022. According to the Statista Consumer Market Outlook, this figure is estimated to rise to 3.27 billion dollars by 2027. The spirits market has experienced fluctuating values in terms of per capita revenue, amounting to almost 66 U.S. dollars in 2022. The vodka production volume was at its highest in 2013, reaching over 1.15 million hectoliters.

      In recent years, Polish spirits export value has followed an uneven trend. France, the USA, and Germany were the main export markets for hard liquors produced in Poland in 2022. In terms of spirits imports, Polish consumers favor British products the most. Poland imported hard liquors worth over 177 million U.S dollars from the United Kingdom in 2022. Spirits produced in the USA and Ireland followed.
