According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on the usage of dating apps in South Korea in February 2022, around 57 percent of the respondents aged 16 to 24 stated that they do not use dating apps because they found them too superficial. Overall, most survey participants, regardless of age, thought dating apps were too superficial, which is the reason why they prefer to not use them.
