The majority of adults in the United States would welcome efforts by the federal government to increase the number of firefighters who can put fires out. 75 percent of respondents to a 2020 survey, who identified as Republicans, 84 percent of Independents and 94 percent of Democrats supported greater incentives towards increasing firefighter numbers.
