Japan: usage rate of Suica mobile payment by age 2019

According to a survey conducted in Japan in 2019, approximately 11 percent of the 25 to 34-year-old respondents used Suica's mobile payment service. Suica is an electric money system in the form of an integrated circuit (IC) card or mobile app, which is generally used for paying train fares in Japan. It can also be used to buy goods and services at stores and vending machines.
