Obstacles to renting or bartering clothing, home textiles or shoes in France

Buying new is not necessarily the only solution when it comes to clothing, home textiles and footwear items. One can also consider second-hand purchase, barter, or rental. Regarding the latter option, a survey conducted in 2018 revealed that a large proportion of the people who did not resort to it had doubts about the hygiene of the products. Half of the respondents did not spontaneously think about it.
