Export volume of fish and fishery products from Algeria 2018, by type
In 2018, the total volume of fish and fishery products exported from Algeria corresponded to nearly 4,160 metric tons. Mollusks represented the most exported product in terms of volume, exceeding 2,444 metric tons. In the same year, a consistent part of the Algerian exports was constituted by fresh fish. Overall, the export volume in 2018 was considerably lower than that of fish and fishery products imports. Indeed, over 30,000 metric tons of fish and fishery products were imported into the country in the same year, corresponding to approximately seven times the export volume.
