According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on the usage of dating apps in South Korea in February 2022, around 30 percent of the respondents older than 55 years old stated that they used dating apps primarily for casual hook-ups. Whereas more than one in three respondents aged 35 to 44 years old stated to use dating apps to meet new people.
