Tanzania: tobacco smokers by type of cigarette

Approximately five percent of adults aged 15 years and older, who were current smokers, consumed manufactured cigarettes as of 2018. This type of cigarette was the most consumed in Tanzania. By contrast, 2.7 percent preferred hand-rolled cigarettes. According to the survey, tobacco consumers in Tanzania amounted to roughly two million by the same period.
