According to a 2019 survey, 55 percent of U.S. consumers who wear a smartwatch are comfortable sharing data from similar wearable devices with insurance providers if it leads to cheaper premiums. This number drops to only 48 percent when all respondents are included, and the the question changes to whether they are comfortable with GPS tracking being installed in their car.
