Total Christmas spending percentage growth in the Netherlands 2017-2020

In 2019, consumers in the Netherlands spent an average of about two percent more over the Christmas period, compared to last year's holiday season. By 2020, the country's Christmas spending numbers were forecast to grow by another two percent. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, however, retail spending is expected go down by nearly 20 percent.
