In France in 2018, the online presence of artisanal companies has increased. When these 309 companies were asked if being present on the Internet was important to them, most of the responding businesses mentioned the possibility to increase the sales of their services or products. Thus, as much as 53 percent of artisans had a website, as reported by the source. Among them, 60 percent sold through this web space. More than 20 percent used specialized platforms and 18 percent referred to web directories and / or platforms. As little as one percent of craft businesses used online ad services.

95 percent of VSEs and micro-enterprises (less than 10 employees), 4 percent of VSEs with 11 to 50 employees and one percent of SMEs with more than 50 employees
