According to a survey on mobile dating apps conducted by Rakuten Insight in Indonesia in September 2020, approximately 44 percent of female and 45 percent of male respondents who did not use mobile dating app stated that they did not do so as dating apps were not suited to their culture. The same survey found that about 70 percent of Indonesian respondents did not use mobile dating apps.
