Ghana: value of payment systems by method 2019

From January to June 2019, the payment method that accumulated the highest transaction value was the Ghana Interbank Settlement System, which reached approximately one billion Ghanaian cedis (roughly 171.7 million U.S. dollars). This was followed by checks cleared, which recorded a value of around 84.5 million Ghanaian cedis (about 14.5 million U.S. dollars). In the same period, payments that were made through Gh-link achieved the lowest value.

Overall, in the first half of 2019, E-zwich registered a significantly higher transaction volume compared to other payment systems in Ghana.
