Origin of foreigners enrolled in universities in Spain 2023, by type
There were approximately 37,000 foreign students from the European Union in Spanish universities in the 2022/2023 academic year, 54 percent of them enrolled in public institutions. With the exception of the United States and Canada, most foreign students were enrolled in public universities.
