Rate of use of artificial snow in Europe in 2018, by country

In Italy in 2018, 87 percent of ski slopes were secured with artificial snow. This does not mean that 87 percent of Italian slopes are covered with snow thanks to snow cannons, but that this surface can be covered with artificial snow in case of failure. Germany is the country on this list that had the lowest ratio. A quarter of these slopes were secured with artificial snow. France was the country with the second lowest ratio amounting to 35 percent.
