According to a survey on mobile dating apps conducted by Rakuten Insight in September 2020 in the Philippines, approximately 28 percent of the respondents between 16 and 24 years old stated that they stopped using mobile dating apps as they got bored by the app. By comparison, 28 percent of the respondents between 55 years and older stated that they stopped using such apps because they had to pay to access premium features. The same survey found that around 66 percent of Filipinos stopped using the mobile dating app that they had used in the past year.
