Reasons why the French are late in Christmas gift shopping and preparation 2020
The current health crisis is likely to have had various consequences on the purchasing behaviors and habits of people in France. The purchase of Christmas gifts is no exception, and it seems that this year, Christmas shopping is taking a different turn than in previous years. And indeed, by mid-November 2020, a little less than half of the French people reported being late in preparing and buying their Christmas gifts. The reason most often cited for this delay was waiting for stores to reopen.
