Share of French people having ever resold a Christmas gift 2020, by work status
Barely unwrapped, some unwanted or poorly chosen gifts sometimes end up on online resale platforms as early as December 25. However, a closer look at the profile of these resellers reveals that in 2020, most of them were unemployed people (13 percent). At the time of the survey, only two percent of people in France who had retired had ever resold a Christmas gift offered by their family and friends.
