The Computer Entertainment Rating Organization (CERO) in Japan received more than 1,600 requests for the examination of video games for consoles in 2018. The number of requests increased significantly throughout the surveyed period. CERO's ratings provide information to customers regarding the age-appropriateness of a game's content.
