Mexico: resources available for students amidst the COVID-19 lockdown 2020, by level
There are a variety of resources needed for distance learning to take place in an efficient way. Resources have to be made available for teachers, schools, parents, and students. In Mexico, this has been a challenging task since the beginning of the COVID-19 lockdown. According to an online survey carried out in the country in June 2020, although more than 80 percent of elementary and lower secondary students interviewed owned a desk or table used for studying purposes, less than half had a computer available for their school work. The same was true regarding access to books for solving homework, with less than half of elementary school students having access.
