Impact of COVID-19 on projected real GDP growth in Algeria 2019-2022
The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic was expected to severely hinder economic growth in most of the countries worldwide. However, an estimation of GDP growth in Algeria for 2022 projected an increase of 2.9 percent. For 2021, a 3.4 percent growth had been projected as well. 2020 was the year in which most countries were heavily affected by COVID 19's economic shortcomings. That year, an estimated real GDP for the country reflected a 4.7 decrease, which was the only negative measurement for the country's GDP along the observed timespan.
