Held on the day after Thanksgiving in the United States, Black Friday has become a worldwide shopping phenomenon. Between 2019 and 2020, the average number of monthly Black Friday-related searches in the United States increased by more than 34 percent. These figures pale in contrast to the online search volume growth in Brazil, which ranks in first place with a Black Friday search increase of over 47.6 percent compared to the previous year.
