In 2020, earnings from interests were forecasted to be over 75 percent of the total income of commercial banks in Vietnam. While interests accounted for a large share of the total earning for commercial banks, the contribution of other income sources had increased within the given timeline. Fee collection, which accounted for 7.4 percent of the total income in 2014, went up to 10.5 percent in 2019.
