Latin America & Caribbean: trade balance of barley 2016-2019
Within the last three years of the 2010s, the commercial balance of the Latin American and Caribbean barley market rose by nearly 70 percent, after a decrease of more than 50 million U.S. dollars in 2017. In 2019, net exports of barley in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to approximately 372 million U.S. dollars. That same year, Argentina led the list of main consumers of barley in the region.
