Production volume of crude oil in Libya 2000-2019

In 2019, the volume of crude oil produced in Libya corresponded to nearly 1.1 billion barrels per day, increasing compared to the previous five years. From 2000 onwards, the crude oil production in the country experienced some fluctuations and peaked at approximately 1.75 billion barrels per day in 2006. Subsequently, the production dramatically dropped in 2011, concurrently with the first Libyan civil war, and between 2014 and 2016, concurrently with the beginning of the second civil war.
