The number of people who shopped Thanksgiving weekend in the United States had dramatically decreased in 2020 due to the impact of the pandemic and lockdown restrictions. In 2022, a total of 166.3 million people in the United States is forecast to shop during Thanksgiving weekend. This represented an increase of eight million of shoppers compared to the year before. And in 2023, over 180 million potential shoppers were expected over the Thanksgiving weekend, with the majority of shoppers expected on Black Friday.
