Guatemala: students affected by COVID-19 measures 2020, by level

On March 16, 2020, a national closure of schools in Guatemala was implemented in the context of the COVID-19 outbreak. As of August 1, 2020, close to 4.2 million children and teenagers had been affected by the contingency measures in the Latin American country. Nearly 3.6 million of the students were enrolled in primary and secondary schools at the time, while more than 600 thousand were enrolled in pre-primary institutions.
