Mexico: distribution of debit cards 2019, by institution
In 2019, Mexico reported 130.6 million debit cards. That year, multipurpose banks concentrated the vast majority, with around 85 percent (110.5 million)) of all debit card contracts in the North American country. Meanwhile, development banks held approximately 15 percent of these contracts.
