With the rise of the e-commerce, come new payment technologies. While some, such as the e-commerce payment methods and the peer-to-peer transfer, have been around for quite a while now, social media payments as well as crypto-currencies are quite novel technologies in France in 2020. Thus, the source has questioned French consumers about how innovative, future-oriented, practical or risky e-commerce payment methods were. E-commerce payments had the highest rate of practicality and were also rated by 64 percent of the respondents as a variable that should be developed further in France. QR codes were considered reserved for tech-savyy individuals (68 percent).
