The companies were identified on the basis of the file INSEE's SIRENE in one of the 21 NAF codes covering the perimeter of the sector, active on 01/01/2018. The liberal professions, the pure craft enterprises and self-employed entrepreneurs are not taken into account. The chosen statistical unit is the enterprise.
The Observatory takes into account the companies having their headquarters in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and the secondary establishments with their is based in another region or abroad. For these, the Observatory considers only the activity carried out in the region.
The data collected correspond to the situation as of 12/31/2017 and to the balance sheet for the year 2017.
