In Canada, in terms of face-to-face visits in 2019, emergency hospital departments in Yukon had the highest activity. During that year, the activity of emergency services in Canada ranged from 424 visits per 1,000 people in the Northwest Territories to over 900 in Yukon and Newfoundland and Labrador. On average, Canadian emergency departments received 495 face-to-face visits in 2019.
