COVID-19 impact on global business travel companies as of February 2021
The coronavirus pandemic hit the global business tourism industry hard as the ability to travel was limited in order to reduce the spread of the virus. As a result, most business travel companies were forced to take action. According to a February 2021 study, 83 percent of respondents stated that their companies implemented layoffs. Meanwhile, 74 percent of the survey sample claimed that business travel firms furloughed employees. Respondents were employed by travel suppliers or travel management companies.
